School Organizational Team Nominations

Melissa Weinstein
I have been an active member of Bonner Elementary since my 1st grader became a Bobcat in 2015.  I am currently the room parent representative for Ms. White’s class and I volunteer at several school events as a member of the PTO. I want to serve on Bonners School Organizational Team because I want to work with teachers, staff, and members of the community to make decisions that will affect our children’s educational experiences.

Marcia M. Penn
I believe in the future of our children and education is the way. I am a team player who actively participates and contributes. I have been successful in many past projects and endeavors.

Melissa Hidalgo
I want to join the SOT to be involved with important decisions and changes concerning our school and students. I would like to be connected with a group of parents and teachers who share a common goal of improving our school for our children.

Annie Ostler
I feel strongly that parental involvement is very important and can have a positive impact on children’s education. As PTO president, my experience working beside parents and teachers has given me a unique perspective on the needs and resources at Bonner.  I have followed the reorganization from the beginning and am excited to see it in action at Bonner

Karen Wisan
I am in a stage of life in which I can dedicate my time and effort to Bonner as al three of my children attend Bonner (K, 2nd , 4th)  and do not have outside employment at this time. With a Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degree in Accounting, I feel comfortable and well-equipped to ensure our resources are used wisely. The project management and leadership skills I gained as a VP at Gerson Lehrman Group in NYC in which I lead teams in Austin TX, Delhi, and NYC will help in this new transition for Bonner

Marci Altman

I’m a leader who is committed to being on this team and helping our school with an open mind. I have experience and a perspective as a special education teacher for over 15 years and also as a parent. It would be a pleasure to serve in this position as children are the future and this is a passion for me.

Kathryn Smith
I am a mother of 4 – 2 of whom are attending Bonner Elementary currently, and I am interested in the school, my children’s and all students’ education. I love and care about these children in our community and would strive to make decisions with their very best interest in mind.

Emily Balcom
I would like to serve on the SOT to help guide the implementation of the CCSD reorganization plan at Bonner. With more than 20 years of educational administration, budgeting, and strategic planning experience, I believe I bring a unique combination of skills and an applicable frame of reference to parental representation the SOT. I have also served as the PTO vice-president in my daughter’s former school and this will serve to sharpen the lens through which I will contribute to the future of Bonner Elementary.
